Evan P. Schneider is the founding editor of Boneshaker: A Bicycling Almanac, which Esquire called “a philosophical love letter to life in the saddle.”

His novel, A Simple Machine, Like the Lever, was named one of the best books of 2011 by Willamette Week and has been adapted for film by Mark Hoffman.

Evan has received fellowships for his work from the Oregon Arts Commission and Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts. His chapbook of poems, Rural Education, is forthcoming in November 2025.
